Service week.‏

So apparently people haven’t been getting my e-mails lately and I’m not sure why.  I guess ill send the last two weeks worth of e-mails again and hopefully you all get them this time :) if you received them already, well sorry that you have to get it again :).  So this week has been full of service, pretty much none stop service really.  Let’s begin on Tuesday though.  So this last Tuesday we had leadership training and since E. Piachitelli is the DL we went to that.  It started on 9AM and we didn’t get out of there till 530PM!!!!  Holy long meeting, but it was good :).  Probably one of the few meetings where I was able to stay awake the entire time and not be completely bored out of my mind haha.  We talked about a lot of thing but one thing that we talked about was talking to 10 extra people a day that we hadn't planned on.  Funny to think that were planning to talk to 10 people we didn’t plan on talking to....now figure that one out ;).  Well anyway the next day, Wednesday, we helped a less active family move.  All we did really was put stuff in a truck so they could drive to Florida.  Kinda cool though I got a couple drafting things out of it so that was worth while :).  I got a portable drafting table and a drafting ruler so woot.  Thursday we went to brother Moore and helped him fix a lot of equipment again.  This time we fixed a wood chipper and a trailer hitch.  Friday we helped Tim again on the house that he is fixing up on the inside.  I cuz a lot of trim again and got that pretty much all done.  I guess next time we go over that he is going to ask me to cuz tile....Dad never taught me that but I guess I might as well give it a try :) I did watch him cut tile and I do pretty good after I watch somebody do it.  Saturday we helped Brother Ardibonie again.  Pretty much did the same thing we always do, cut wood and stack it :)

but its always fun.  Later that day we went over to Sister Dea's house and set up her patio for the summer!!!  It hit 70 that day and I think yesterday it hit 80.....it seams like were sipping spring and going rite into summer!  Nor sure if i like that or not.  I would prefer a spring because summer as a missionary kind of sucks seeing as we are wearing dark clothing and sweating up a storm!  So ya this week had a BUNCH of service for sure :) but that is something I truly enjoy and am glad that we have so many service opportunities in this area.  Sunday though was just a normal day for the most part.  We went to this park, and let me tell you it is one nice park for the community, anyway we went there and started talking to random people trying to talk to our ten for the day.  It was interesting to see, in such a short time, so many different personalities.  A couple people just said hi back.  Others talked to us for a second and it was nice.  Then there were others who told us to go to heck and yelled at us as we walked by haha.  The only thing you can do when that happens is laugh and keep on moving :) you get use to it after 19 months......holy wow 19 months IM GETTIN OLD!!!  Well I think that’s about all I got for this week :) have a wonderful week everybody!!!

Transfer week!‏

Hello again everybody!  So this coming Saturday we will find out who is staying and who is going.....if I go I will be really surprised to say the least.  Well first I want to tell you about Saturday.  So Saturday was a really good day for service.  That morning we went over to brother Ardiboni, like we always do, and helped him cut/stack some wood again.....I’m going to be a professional cutter/stacker when I get home.  After we were done helping him out he decided that he wanted to take us out to eat for some lunch, so he took us to some Chinese buffet and it was pretty good actually.  After we did that we ended up going to another members house and helped them paint their basement, It was really quite fun.  Finally we had dinner with another member and he fed us some chili and it was actually really good.  When we got home, i took a shower and passed out haha I was sooooo tired, but it was well worth it.  On Tuesday i was on tours with E. Hall in my area.  It was going pretty well until i got a phone call from Tim.  His message went something like this, "I'm not sure why you guys never answer you phone, I’m going to have a talk with God and figure out why that is, call me back, I’m at the strip club".  When i heard the last part i started to freak out because Tim is a recent convert of about 4 months and i thought we had just lost him big time.  So im freaking out (calmly on the outside but not so much on the inside) and started calling people.  Finally i got a hold of Carol (his wife) and she told me, "well he is just up the road doing some work" then i though o TIm ya bugger you got me!  HAHA so ya he was just kidding, but it was interesting to me to see that i have know this guy for only 4.5 weeks now and when i hear that he was at the strip club i started doing everything i possibly could to make sure that we were going to bring him back into the fold and help him get back on track.  Needles to say i didn’t need to do any of that, but it was good to know that i care for him enough to want to make sure he stays where he is at :).  O so i got a new recipe for all of you to try, it's a desert and no it is not healthy what so every so make sure you have a lot of people eating it with you so you get a really small portion.

It's called Dump Cake, it's pretty much cobler but i think its cooked a bit differently and it is cooked in a Crock Pot :)
All you need is,
1 Can of pie filling (any flavor)
1 Box of cake mix
1 stick of butter

Put the pie filling in, the cake mix on top (DO NOT MAKE THE BATTER!!!), cut the butter up and put it on top of the cake mix.
Set the crock pot on high and let it sit.
when the butter melts, mix it up with the cake mix, but try not to mix any of the fruit into it, a little is ok but try not to.
Let it sit for about 45 minutes to an hour, and dig in :)

Really simple and WAY good :) anyway i love you all have a wonderful week!

Hello

So things are going well for the most part at the time being :) can’t really complain I guess.  So Yesterday was an amazing day.  Sure it was P-Day and all but that’s not the reason why.  The reason why is because I was able to visit with Avinash!  If you don’t remember him, he is the baptism I had in LP2 when I was in Cambridge and he is from India

So that is really far away, and the past 6 weeks he has been in Cambridge again for work.  So he found my number some how and we set a time that we could meet up and chat for a little bit.  Well very luck for E. Hunter and E. Lystrup (the two comps I had while teaching Avinash) they were able to join us as well so it was a really good day for the 3 of us.  Avinash is one of those people who I will love for probably the rest of my life and one of those friendships that was great to receive on my mission.  He is an amazing guy and I miss being able to see him grow, but we all have life’s and things keep moving on :).  So what else happened this week.  Saturday was a good day.  So on Saturday we were able to go play some B-Ball at the church with a lot of members.  It was a lot of fun and a good work out, but the coolest thing that happened is we were able to get an inactive member to the church, which probably hadn't set foot in a church in about 2 years!  So that was really exciting, and he brought over his RC helicopters and we were able to fly them around for a bit :).  O and by the way, I hit 18 months this past weekend, well on Saturday actually :).  Well really that’s all the good news that has happened this past week :) so I hope you all have a wonderful week and keep enjoying life!

YEAR 1 FOR ELDER FOUST JR!

HAPPY YEAR MARK BRAXTON!!!!  Alright now that I have that out of the way I can continue with this e-mail, maybe his year mark is next week idk but I know its this month sometime :) ANYWAY!!!  So my mom asked me to try and include something about love in the February month so lets see if I can pull it off.  Wow my hands already hurt and its been like 4 sentences if that, well anyway.....So WE HAD A BAPTISM YESTERDAY!!!  April and Damian got baptized yesterday and it was a really good/funny service.  Damian is 8 and his mom, April, is in her early 30's I think.  So its pretty interesting at how fast you can learn to love somebody when you have only know them for a couple weeks, but when it comes to something like the Gospel, you just want to see them experience the joy that you have been able to receive and so you just learn to show them your true self and help them in any possible way you can so that they can enjoy the blessings that we are able to receive as members.  So in two weeks they will be getting the Holy Ghost, this being because April has to work every other Sunday.  So that was pretty exciting.  So funny story of the week.  On Thursday we went over to the Permenters for dinner.  So E. P knows how to tie people to a pole without using rope that being said lets go on with the story.  So these members have 2 boys and they wanted to show us there downstairs and play some darts with us before dinner, so we went down stairs.  As we were playing E. P saw this pole that was rite in the center of the room and I just saw his face light up like noon day time and I knew he was going to tie one of those boys to the pole.  So we got both of them to try it and it was the funniest thing every to watch.  Then boys being boys they though LETS DO THIS TO DAD WHEN HE GETS HOME!!! Great idea rite, well it actually was to be honest, their dad went down stairs and what do you know..............we tied him to the pole as well!  Even better, I GOT IT ALL ON MY CAMERA!!!  Haha so ill have to send them to Lyndi and she can post them on my FB so you can all get a good laugh hopefully :) well I think that’s it for this week, I love you all and ill chat with you all next week!

Week 2‏

Alright hello there everybody!  This week has been pretty good.  So Sunday was probably one of the best testimony meetings I have been to in a while on my mission.  Everybody that spoke actually gave a testimony instead of a thankathone and there were all pretty much on the same thing which was even cooler, the temple ended up being the topic for some reason but it was really cool.  So on Friday I decided to do the ab ripper X from P90X and let me tell you what, I was sore till today!!!  The worst part of it was that it felt like my hip was out of place the entire time!  But it was good :) now I need to do it again that I don’t hurt so that my abs will start hurting instead of my hip muscles haha.  So its kind of had to say what has been going on over here because we go to a lot of peoples houses and chat with them, but I’ve been doing that for the past 18 months so nothing really new.  Tim, a recent convert, just got off of house arrest which is pretty awesome, he was one happy camper and went out and had a bit of fun :) he called us up rite after court and asked us when we were going to go play some b-ball with him haha so hopefully we will do that this week sometime.  On Saturday we went to a member’s house and helped him cut some wood again.  It is a really fun service to do even though it can get pretty repetitive, but it is still really fun and we get a breakfast out of it so cant complain :).  This member has a helicopter R/C and he let us fly it around his house for a minute, I got it figured out and was having a lot of fun flying it around, while we were on our mini water break from the work.

So the other day I decided that I should ask God again to let me know that the BOM was true and to help me find some stuff that I needed as I read from it.  Well I just want to let you all know that I have a testimony of the BOM and that it was truly written for our day and that it can and will, if we let it, help us get though each and every day that we read from it.  I hope that all of you are reading from it and trying to find things in it to help you as you read.  I hope you all have a wonderful week and have a bit of fun :)!

Bristol CT!‏

Hello everybody, so I am now in CT New England.  This is state number 4 that I have served in on my mission :) which I think is pretty darn cool.  So these past couple days have been pretty cool and long, fast, lots to do and what not.  This area has a lot going on, which I am enjoying a lot.  Rite now I believe we have 3 investigators, 2 of which I have met, and like 6 recent converts who we are talking with and making sure they are still coming to church.  One of the RC's is Tim.  He is a big burley guy and looks like he should be riding a chopper.  He has some chops on his face and again like I said he is a big burley guy.  Really I’m nor exactly sure what to share with all of you because a lot has happened in the last couple days, but its been a lot of teaching to members haha.  So it took me a couple days to get settled in and get everything put away.  The new apartment is great and I don’t miss the new old one that I left in Spencer MA.  Hmmm, ya this is hard to know what to talk about this time around.  So far I am really enjoying the new area that I am in.  The members here are really cool, from what I have seen so far, and really like to take care of the missionaries.  There is this inactive member that we go to every Saturday and do service for him.  He makes us breakfast every week also which is really cool.  This week he made us French toast and it was amazing, I haven’t had French toast in a long long time so I enjoyed it.  He also gives us eggs; he has 6 chickens so ya :) we get eggs every time we go there.  So ya things are going good haha :) ill make the e-mail longer next week hopefully but this is all i got for now :) love you all and ill chat with you next week!

Getting transferred!‏

Hello everybody!  So I'm sorry that none of you have been receiving my e-mail's recently, I’m really not sure what has been going down because I have been writing them and sending them every week, so I’m not sure why they haven’t been sending or why you have not been receiving them.  Well anyway hopefully you get this one this week and if you don’t, well I’m sure that I will find out soon enough :) and we can see how to fix the problem.  Well this past week has been alright.  On Friday I went to Gardner again for tours, but this time I was with E. Torgerson.  It was pretty fun; I was there from about 12 on Friday till 8P.M. on Saturday.  So when we were on tours we got a call from the Sisters asking us if we knew any details on the wreck that E. Knight and E. Mittlestead got into the other day.  We were both confused and said we know nothing so we will call them and figure things out.  Well E. Mittlestead said that nothing happened and that they were in the apartment because the roads were too bad to drive on, so we left it at that.  Well come to find out E. Knight DID in fact get in a wreck.  He was going 45 in a 40 and keep in mind it had just snowed and he is from Cali.  So a turn came up and well it was icy and he was going to fast so he slid right off the road!  Luckily nothing bad happened, the car got a small dent in it, that needs fixed, but nobody was hurt in the process.  Also lucky for them there was a cop right behind them just waiting for them to wreck haha the cop told them when he got out of the car the he knew that was going to happen.  So that was pretty much the highlight of the week to say the least.  That doesn't happen too often, nor should it, but a good experience for E. Knight I’m sure.  So if you didn’t read the title I AM getting Transferred this transfer.  I will be going to
Canton CT
, yup I am headed to Connecticut finally!  I'll post my address right now so you all will have it if you decided to send me anything.

So there you go :) hope that all serves you well, and if not, well I'm sorry.  So far this week we have been to 4 dinners in 2 days....ya that's a lot of food.  All the weight I’ve lost has come back -_- o well hopefully it wont be too hard to lose it again :) probably wont actually I mean its only 2 pounds, that's nothing.  Well what else to tell you.  So I switched planners so I'm trying to remember what happened this past week.  Really nothing too exciting happened except for what happened with E. Knight.

So I guess something that happened on tours that was kind of cool is that E. Torgesen was able to teach 2 Spanish lessons with me there :).  So Gardner is a Spanish area, but the elders there really haven't been teaching Spanish people because they haven't been able o find any.  Well when I was there E. Torgerson said to me, you must be lucky or something because I haven't taught a single lesson in Spanish the entire time I have been here except for today with you.  So I guess that's pretty cool :) I was able to sit in 2 Spanish lessons.  I may not understand what is being said, but that’s alright :) the gospel is the same in every language.  Well I think that’s all I got for you this week :) hopefully you all will start getting my e-mails again!  I love you all have a great week!
