This transfer

Hello there everybody so I am still in Somerville Mass for another 6 weeks :). This transfer is going to be fun and very interesting i think. I'm sure not many of you know this but this transfer the Hartford Connecticut mission got closed and joined with the Boston Mass. Mission. We are gaining around 70+ new missionaries and will have a grand total of 220 missionaries in the Boston Mass. Mission! WOW that is a lot of people to watch over if you ask me. Anyway i was really hopeing that i was going to get sent to Connecticut, but like i said above im staying here in Somerville. I'm not going to lie but when i found out that i was staying (E. Lystrup is staying as well) I was a bit pissed off, and im using those words because that is exactly how i felt. After a few minutes though of being mad at the world i stopped and though for a second, i can either be depressed this transfer and be in pain for the next 6 weeks or i can just thank God for the opportunity to change for the better and enjoy my self for the next 6 weeks. So thats exactly what i did i changed my attitude and am enjoying my self instead of being depressed :). This really is a good area to be in and the ward is amazing and im learning to enjoy it more every week.

On to other things though, so Avinash got Confirmed last Sunday and it was great :). It was really cool to watch him receive the holy ghost and officially become a brand new member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. We had a good rest of the day but not too much to talk about. Monday was a good day, kind of slow because we didnt have our p-day like we normally would haha but thats alright we made the best of it. We had a dinner appointment with Kendell and it was a good one. He made up pizza and we had some ice cream sandwiches for desert, they were delicious! After words we were able to go help a member, who had been in Germany for a month, move into his new apartment and help him set up his bed, which by the way is quite intense. By then it was time to head home, we ended up going to Harvard T station to get on a bus so we could get home on time. A funny experience happened there and it might shock a lot of you but keep in mind that this is Harvard T station, this is where ALL and i literally mean ALLLLL the crazys hand out. Anyway we were waiting for the bus and there was this guy who was sleeping on the bench and you could tell that he was just waisted, not to mention the wisky bottle that was on the floor rite below his hand. Then he randomly wakes up.....kinda.....and starts saying all sorts of weird stuff and dropping the f-bomb every other word. At this point im kind of laughing because im so amazed at how wasted this guy really is. Then out of nowhere i hear some water hitting the ground so im looking around and what do you know this guy was peeing on the floor while he was laying there on the bench! I was fortunate enough no to see anything disturbing, but i was just so amazed at what was happening to this guy from drinking some liquor. It just made me think of how amazing God really is in giving us the Word of Wisdom so that stuff like that wont happen to us because we arent consuming anything to make us lose control of our thoughts.

So all in all it was really a good week :) some interesting things happened and i even had a cool experience with prayer. So the other night i decided i would test this out and ask god to help me remember a dream that i had that night when i woke up. now the reason why i asked him this is because i hate knowing that i have dreams, but not ever being able to remember them ESPECIALLY when i know i had a good dream and i cant remember it for the life of me. So i figured id give it a shot and what do ya know i could remember what i had drempt for the most part. It was a great experience even though it was a very small one, but it did strengthen my testimony of prayer just that much more. I hope you all have an amazing day and week and i will talk with you all again on Monday :) i love you all and shall talk to you soon!!!!

1st baptism

HELLO EVERYBODY!!!! So yesterday was quite the day. First off I was able to listen to two of God's apostles. President Paker and President Eyring. It was awesome you could feel their spirit the second they entered into the building. It was an amazing experience to be able to listen to them in person and funny thing I noticed is that they sound the exact same in person as they do when I watch conference haha. After the dedication I had the privilege to start filling up the font and have the first baptism in the newly dedicated building! Funny story to this though. So at 1 we started filling up the font and then we had to wait there because we didnt know how long it was going to take to till it up because nobody has ever used it. So about 345 we realized that the font was only about half way filled so we started running around everywhere trying to figure out what we needed to do to get it filled in 15 minutes before the baptism started! So we found a bucket and a faucet and started filling up the bucket's and throwing the water into the font. E. Lystryp asked me to go turn up the heat because the water was soo cold. As I turned up what I thought was the heat I heard the water pressure pick up, and I just started laughing my butt off. I just thought "WOW I'm an idiot, I should have know there was a way to turn up the pressure". Haha so after that I told E. Lystryp that were good we can let it run for another 30 minutes and it will be full enough by the time we actually perform the baptism itself. It was a funny/good experience and one for the books for sure. So Avinash asked me to be the one to baptism him and I was honored that he asked me to do that for him. So for the past week I was practicing his name, Avinash Kumar Reede Palicharla (I probably butchered the spelling but w/e rite?) I didn't mess up :) I was proud of myself for sure I was scared that his name was going to mess me up, but I was able to say what needed said and I dunked him and it only took one dunk :) so for my first ever performance of a baptism I felt like it went really well and I enjoyed it a lot. I was really excited to perform it and let me tell you this, it is a WAY different experience being the person performing the baptism then it is being a spectator. It seems so much faster as the performer and so simpler but it was amazing I felt way good and I enjoyed it a lot :)

So that was my day yesterday. The rest of the week went well and wut not. Saturday we were able to help out Bishop again and we moved out two tubs so that they can be replaced and we took apart some of the floor in one of the bathrooms that are getting re-done. But like I said it was a good week for the most part not too short and not too long :) I hope you all have an amazing week!

baptism at 7

Well i totally forgot to recap what happened during this week in my brain so i could tell you all so hopefully i can remember some good stuff, if not well im sorry this weeks e-mail might kinda suck but ya never know what might just pop into my brain :) So let me think for a sec....hmmm......im thinking, im thinking, im thinking....(name that movie).....Wow this is pathetic i honestly cant remember a thing about last week, ill get something bear with me. So you know when days just go by so fast you have no idea what is going on or even what day it is really? Well that has happened to me a lot this week, so on Saturday I kept thinking it was Sunday and I thought Friday was Saturday and so forth. I couldn't really keep the days strait and it was kind of of annoying and funny at the same time :). Ah ok so speaking of Saturday I just remembered what we did that day. So we had a service opportunity with a local farm things. So a bunch of the members in my ward went to this place and we helped them plant some veggies and clear some rows and pull some weeds from beds and turned some uh dang it what's it called...o yes compost :) so it was a good start to the day. That lasted till around 2P.M. so it took a good chunk out of the day. After that we went home, showered and got into pros. Then we headed over to Avinashes house so we could start filling out his baptismal record! Then we went to The Cheesecake Factory, to celebrate his birthday! It was pretty legit I got some pasta, as did E. Lystrup and Avinash got salmon with some potato's and some veggie. Then right after that we had to head over to the church so we could watch a baptism at 7 :) it was good for Avinash so he know what went down during a baptism. So all in all Saturday was a pretty good day. The rest of the week was kind of slow for me but good :) service on Thursday went well, but not funny stories :( o well maybe I'll get some this week :D! Well that's all I got for you as of right now :) I hope you all are having a wonderful week and are loving life! I'll chat with you all next week! Love you!!!

Dedication and a baptism

Hello everybody so this week was really good/really bad at the same time. Well so you all don't freak out the only really bad part that I'm talking about is that I got sick!!! Yes I got sick....that never happens what the crap.....and even worse it was a cold like that never happens to me. It was kinda funny because at first i though it was my allergies acting up but o now it most def was not on Thursday I was completely out of it and had no idea what was going on at service haha it was actually kinda funny then after service we went home and I crashed for 3 or 4 hours so I kinda felt bad but i needed it. So the main thing I wanna talk about right now is Avinash! So I think I have mentioned him before but maybe not idk, anyway he has a baptism date set for June 19th!!! WOOT yes that's legit to say the least :) this will be the first person who I have found, taught 100%, then see get baptized so I'm really excited about it, also on that day our church building, that burnt down 2 years ago, is going to be dedicated and guess who is going to be there.................................Eyring and another person BUT Eyring is going to be there!

That's going to be legit to say the least so after the dedication were going to have the baptism so that's going to be one good day :) Well let's see what else happened this week. So on Friday I was able to go on tours with the ZL's again this time I went to Arlington and I got to be in a car area for a day! O boy was I excited, and the fact that I was still sick made me even more happy because I was going to be able to sit in the car going places instead of walking everywhere so I was excited for that and very thankful :) nothing too interesting happened on tours so ya but I got to relax for a day so that was really good. What else happened, O so I got offered some marijuana on Saturday :) that was pretty funny I thought ofcourse i told the person no, but then she looked at me and was like o you want some? and i kinda laugh inside and told her no again and then she just started to ramble off and recited some catholic prayers to E. Lystrup and I :) it was funny, Saturday was a good day if I remember correctly, but E. Lystrup was sick that day so we took it kind of easy for him. Other than that I think I got everything for this week down that I wanted to tell all of you. So ya ill chat with you all later :) have a wonderful week and love ya tones!!!

Hello All!!

So what's up?  Well yesterday was a holiday...again so no e-mail, it gets kind of annoying not going to lie but o well we get to e-mail today so it work out in the end :).  So yesterday was a great day.  At around 9AM we went to the Temple and did a session, then after words we went to president Evens house and had a  BBQ with him, the senior missionaries, and missionaries from the Cambridge north, and south zones, and the Boston zone so that was a lot of fun.  We had hamburger and hot dogs then at around 3 a bunch of missionaries changed into p-day cloths and we went and played some Ultimate Frisbee  for an hour or so I think :) it was great fun.  When we got home I hopped into the shower then flopped on my bed because I was sooo tired and I took a nap for about 30 minutes before I had to get dressed and head out the door.  We Always go to FHE and last night they had a BBQ as well, but we didnt get there till around 830 so most of the food was gone (which was ok because I was still full from my first BBQ) and I wasn't really able to see what kind of food they had all i know is they had ice cream, and grilled pineapple but I didn’t have any.  The rest of the week went well.  We ended up getting a new investigator and he is from Korea his name is Young Ho and he has only been in the states for about 8 weeks.  His English isn't the best but we can understand him and we found somebody who just got back from his mission in Korea so he speaks Korean :) and that will help with the language barrier quite a lot.  We're going to be teaching him today at 3 so that will be good and then hopefully we will be teaching Avinash around 7 which will be good as well, partly because at his hotel they have snacks every Tuesday-Thursday and we get to partake of them ;) score!  Well that’s the update on my life as of now :) the new comp and I get along well and things are going great, this next transfer we will be joining with the Hartford Connecticut mission so I might have the opportunity to go to Connecticut next transfer which I really hope I will be able to we will also be getting Road Island as part of our mission so that's two states I might be able to go to WOOT I'm pretty excited.  Well sorry for all of you but the weather had been in the 70-80's and very humid, no snow :) but to be honest I wish it was dry air here but w/e it all works out :) love you all and chat with ya next week!
