Bristol CT!‏

Hello everybody, so I am now in CT New England.  This is state number 4 that I have served in on my mission :) which I think is pretty darn cool.  So these past couple days have been pretty cool and long, fast, lots to do and what not.  This area has a lot going on, which I am enjoying a lot.  Rite now I believe we have 3 investigators, 2 of which I have met, and like 6 recent converts who we are talking with and making sure they are still coming to church.  One of the RC's is Tim.  He is a big burley guy and looks like he should be riding a chopper.  He has some chops on his face and again like I said he is a big burley guy.  Really I’m nor exactly sure what to share with all of you because a lot has happened in the last couple days, but its been a lot of teaching to members haha.  So it took me a couple days to get settled in and get everything put away.  The new apartment is great and I don’t miss the new old one that I left in Spencer MA.  Hmmm, ya this is hard to know what to talk about this time around.  So far I am really enjoying the new area that I am in.  The members here are really cool, from what I have seen so far, and really like to take care of the missionaries.  There is this inactive member that we go to every Saturday and do service for him.  He makes us breakfast every week also which is really cool.  This week he made us French toast and it was amazing, I haven’t had French toast in a long long time so I enjoyed it.  He also gives us eggs; he has 6 chickens so ya :) we get eggs every time we go there.  So ya things are going good haha :) ill make the e-mail longer next week hopefully but this is all i got for now :) love you all and ill chat with you next week!

Getting transferred!‏

Hello everybody!  So I'm sorry that none of you have been receiving my e-mail's recently, I’m really not sure what has been going down because I have been writing them and sending them every week, so I’m not sure why they haven’t been sending or why you have not been receiving them.  Well anyway hopefully you get this one this week and if you don’t, well I’m sure that I will find out soon enough :) and we can see how to fix the problem.  Well this past week has been alright.  On Friday I went to Gardner again for tours, but this time I was with E. Torgerson.  It was pretty fun; I was there from about 12 on Friday till 8P.M. on Saturday.  So when we were on tours we got a call from the Sisters asking us if we knew any details on the wreck that E. Knight and E. Mittlestead got into the other day.  We were both confused and said we know nothing so we will call them and figure things out.  Well E. Mittlestead said that nothing happened and that they were in the apartment because the roads were too bad to drive on, so we left it at that.  Well come to find out E. Knight DID in fact get in a wreck.  He was going 45 in a 40 and keep in mind it had just snowed and he is from Cali.  So a turn came up and well it was icy and he was going to fast so he slid right off the road!  Luckily nothing bad happened, the car got a small dent in it, that needs fixed, but nobody was hurt in the process.  Also lucky for them there was a cop right behind them just waiting for them to wreck haha the cop told them when he got out of the car the he knew that was going to happen.  So that was pretty much the highlight of the week to say the least.  That doesn't happen too often, nor should it, but a good experience for E. Knight I’m sure.  So if you didn’t read the title I AM getting Transferred this transfer.  I will be going to
Canton CT
, yup I am headed to Connecticut finally!  I'll post my address right now so you all will have it if you decided to send me anything.

So there you go :) hope that all serves you well, and if not, well I'm sorry.  So far this week we have been to 4 dinners in 2 days....ya that's a lot of food.  All the weight I’ve lost has come back -_- o well hopefully it wont be too hard to lose it again :) probably wont actually I mean its only 2 pounds, that's nothing.  Well what else to tell you.  So I switched planners so I'm trying to remember what happened this past week.  Really nothing too exciting happened except for what happened with E. Knight.

So I guess something that happened on tours that was kind of cool is that E. Torgesen was able to teach 2 Spanish lessons with me there :).  So Gardner is a Spanish area, but the elders there really haven't been teaching Spanish people because they haven't been able o find any.  Well when I was there E. Torgerson said to me, you must be lucky or something because I haven't taught a single lesson in Spanish the entire time I have been here except for today with you.  So I guess that's pretty cool :) I was able to sit in 2 Spanish lessons.  I may not understand what is being said, but that’s alright :) the gospel is the same in every language.  Well I think that’s all I got for you this week :) hopefully you all will start getting my e-mails again!  I love you all have a great week!

Victory over death comes through Christ

Hello there people, so ya I understand that I was supposed to e-mail all of you yesterday, but that didn’t happen.  So as I was e-mailing yesterday, I was able to get a couple e-mail off before the server shut down -_- so we ended up going out and doing stuff and decided that we would come to the library today for about 30 minutes and send off our e-mails :).  Anyway now that I got that all out and explained what I should tell you.  So Today has been pretty eventful so far.  We ended up going to Ron's house today at 9 AM and it was pretty cool.  I'm not sure if I have talked about Ron or not but I guess I could give a quick overview of him.  So at one point in his life he was married and he has 2 or 3 kids I believe.  But then something happened and he started to think that he was receiving revelation from God that he was Christ.  So all sorts of things went down and now sadly he is divorced.  Anyway that is a quick overview of him.  So we met with him today and he brought up a scripture in 1 Corinthians 15:29  he asked us about baptisms for the dead :) so that lead rite into lesson two which is the plan of salvation.

Last week we had interviews with Prez Evans on Friday in Amherst.  It's kinda funny being in this zone again because I know it like the back of my hand it seams like.  If you don’t know I served in Amherst roughly a year ago.  So that went well, he asked me a lot of questions about how the work is going and what not and asked about the new apartment that we have.  Other then that though nothing too special.  Later that day, when we got home, we went over to brother weagles house and helped him build a miniature shelter/garage type of thing.  It's big enough to put a log cutter and a generator underneath it :) so that was fun, I got to use the skills that my father has taught me a little bit and it felt really good being able to know how to do something like that, even though it was quite easy to figure out :).  The member kept asking me all these questions and I was able to answer all of them just because of the experience i have had working on house with my dad :), thanks dad I love you!  Then on Sunday I gave a talk in sacrament!!!!  So 17 months into my mission I finally gave my first talk in sacrament......I was hoping I could make the full 2 years but alas that didn't happen.  The talk was on being spiritually prepared and how, as a missionary, we do that.  So pretty much all I talked about was the missionary daily schedule and how that helps us become more spiritually prepared every day.

So that's pretty much all of the excitement that happened last week :) it was a pretty good week for the most part.  We had a couple people cancel on us, but that always happens, hopefully we will be able to meet with them this week.  Well we will all find out next week if I am staying or going or what :) I’m not sure what I want, I want to leave, but I think I could stand staying for one more, I guess we will find out eh :) anyway I love you all and hope you have an amazing week!

New Years week!

Hello everybody! So HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Wow it's 2012 now and this is the year that I come home.....never though I would see this year come around, but sure enough here it is. So first of all I would like all of you to know that everybody who sent me a letter or package will be getting some sort of a letter from me, it's pretty much a thank you letter but kind of late cuz its going to also be a Christmas/Happy new year letter at the same time haha so ya :) keep that in mind. So first off I would like to tell you all that I AM SO SORE!!! So yesterday was P-Day as you should know and the Zone leaders decided that they wanted to have a zone activity. So we ended up going to Ludlow and playing Basketball and have a Nerf War! It was a blast. We started at 1030AM and left around 330PM. This has been one of the best P-Day's I have had so far in a while. So the Nerf war was a BLAST!!! I never realized how fun shooting people with foam bullets were but it was a blast. I was a sniper pretty much the entire time. So on Wednesday we had School of the Prophets with Prez. Ahburn in Amherst. It was pretty interesting. It went from 9 till 3. I was able to pay attention till about 2 and then I started to lose it haha, that was a long time but it was pretty cool. We talked about a lot of stuff that I can't really explain too well so sorry about that. Other than that it was a pretty normal week. On Friday though it was a pretty decent day. We ended up going to Sturbridge and contacting a couple referrals. The first one turned us down, but the second one was really nice and said that right now wasn't a good time but we could come back pretty much any time because she is retired. After that we ended up dropping by the Young family because they just got home from Texas. When we got there, we noticed that there were way more cars then there were supposed to be so we weren't sure if we should stop by or not. Well when we decided that we should probably leave Brother Young looked out the window so we were like well we have been spotted so let's go on in. Well they were just sitting down for dinner and said that we were going to join them whether we wanted to or now haha. So that ended up being really nice and we shared a message with them like missionaries do. Well that's my week for ya :) I hope you all have a wonderful week love you all talk to you next week.
